CSCS Gold Cards

Gold CSCS Card
CSCS Gold Skilled Worker/Supervisor Card

The CSCS Gold Card confusingly applies to two types of worker – a skilled worker with an advanced craft level NVQ/SVQ or a supervisor with a level 3 or higher NVQ/SVQ.

Gold Skills Card – this card is for skilled workers with an advanced craft level NVQ or SVQ Level 3, whose occupation is covered by CSCS and who have met current CSCS health and safety requirements.

There is also an apprenticeship route for those who have registered and completed an approved awarding body’s apprenticeship. Or, apprentices who were not indentured with an approved body but completed an informal apprenticeship which included the achievement of a City and Guilds or SCOTVEC (SQA) Advanced Craft Certificate.

Applicants will need to have completed the Operative or Specialist Health, Safety & Environment test (depending on the occupation) and can should submit the craft application form.

Gold Supervisor’s Card – the supervisor’s card is for those with an NVQ or SVQ Level 3, whose occupation is covered by CSCS and who have met current CSCS health and safety requirements.

See here for the current list of recognised supervisory occupations.

Applicants will need complete the Specialist (Supervisor) Health, Safety & Environment Test and should submit the Technical, Supervisor or Manager Application Form
